USEFUL INFORMATION TIPS
Tip at restaurants hotels or when you are on a tour with guides and drivers, is generally not included. Not compulsory but a voluntary tip can be given if you are happy of the service you get. It is usually 10% or over… Ps: When you take a taxi tip is included and they must have a “taxi meter” switched on when you get in.

TAKING PICTURES
Taking pictures: Taking pictures at “military zone” is prohibited. Children love that you take their picture (keep some candy with you if you can, they will ask for “bon bon”). Taking picture of a women or old men in a remote village at the countryside is something you should pay attention, they usually do not like it. But sometimes yes, ask permission before you take it ( say “photo” pointing your camera).

This gear and clothing list is provided to you as a GUIDELINE for planning your adventure travel packing needs. The importance of being properly equipped with essential items, as well as items which make your trip more comfortable, cannot be overstated. Please consider that excess baggage can be a burden to you and the support staff in the field. Pack light, but pack right! Versatility is the key when choosing what clothing to pack, and items should be coordinated to allow for layering. The ability to layer will prepare you for any weather extreme.

Fanny pack (or small daypack to carry camera and water-bottle)

FOOTWEAR
Hiking boots, broken-in w/ankle support Casual, comfortable shoes for evening

HEADWEAR
Sun hat or baseball cap Bandanna

SHELL / JACKET
Lightweight jacket or sweater
Lightweight rain jacket
Lightweight rain pants

CLOTHING
Cotton shorts
T-shirts
Long-sleeve shirt
Long pants (cotton or fleece for cool evenings)
Hiking pants/shorts (nylon/synthetic dry quickly when hiking)
Underwear
Hiking socks – bring at least 3 pair (we also recommend a thin liner sock to prevent blisters)
Cotton athletic socks

CITY CLOTHES
Bring a few lightweight, easily washable items for city wear
